S'il y a bien une série que NBC ne va pas annuler cette année c'est bien Parenthood car c'est un véritable succès critique porté par son casting prestigieux et ses audiences sur le public global ont beau ne pas être très élevées (aux alentours de 5 millions cette automne), elle bat régulièrement Body of Proof (ABC) et talonne Unforgettable (CBS) sur la cible des 18/49 ans (aux alentour de 2,2%) le mardi soir à 22h00.
D'ailleurs la saison 3 était à l'origine composée de 16 épisodes car Awake devait lui succéder dans sa case horaire en Février 2012 mais NBC a tout de même commandé deux épisodes supplémentaires car les audiences restaient correctes et stables.

Courtney Ford prêtera ses traits à Lily, une joueuse de violoncelle accomplie qui rencontrera Adam (Peter Krause) et Crosby (Dax Shepard) dans leur studio d'enregistrement. Parenthhod était également opposée au défilé Victoria's Secret Fashion Show sur CBS, à Covert affairs sur USA Network et aux Sons of Anarchy sur FX.
